How did the funatic fringe of neoconservatism gain control in America?
Is neoconservatism just a cover for control of the masses and unbridled corruption? The repub controlled congress that was just booted out seemed to display that. I guess that’s there reward for giving the president a blank check to ruin the country.

There are a lot of people who actually believe that America has some sort of moral ‘high ground’ and that ‘God’ is on our side, which is why we are the only remaining superpower.
They are willing to ignore the corruption and war-profiteering of this administration because Bu$hco is so damn good at pretending like they have this countries best interests in mind. They appeal to the blind believers with talk about ’spreading freedom and democracy’ while their actions over the last six years have bred more terrorists and anti-american sentiment worldwide.
Like you said though, last falls elections showed where the american people stand (the previous two presidential elections were full of glaring inconsistencies, and if Dubya & co. didn’t actually cheat to win – then they did a damn good job of making it look like they did.
