what is a good brand of saddle that is not very expensive (english close contact)?
i have a saddle now, an HDR, and i am very pleased with it. i ride at two different barns (i take lessons at one and i train at another) and it is a pain to have to take my saddle back and forth so i am planning on keeping my HDR at one place and buying a new saddle for the other, but i got off easy because i bought my saddle form my trainer. i am looking for an inexpensive, not new but nice, close contact saddle for jumping and flatwork and i just dont know a type of saddle (i would love a crosby but i dont have the $4000 to spend lol) any help if greatly appreciated ^.^
I have a Colleigate Event Saddle and I love it.
They are around $1000 new. You can pick them up used on E-bay for some pretty good prices at times.
Wintec makes a nice saddle. They fit nice and can be adjusted and they are not leather so they are easy to clean and care for.
State Line Tack had some saddles on clearance. I am not sure of the brands but hte prices were like half of the normal cost andthey looked pretty nice. It was in the new catalog.
