What’s your favourite saddle pad?
We have a new horse coming home in a couple of weeks, just keeping my fingers crossed that my saddle will fit.
I am going to need a new saddle blanket, I’ve seen people recommending the ThinLine Pad.

Should add, specific concerns, larger rider so comfort for horses back imperative.
The horse is a beautiful round Haflinger, with minimal withers! Want to be secure so said large rider does not end up hanging off the side, so non slip options would be good
i prefer my natural sheepskin pad from synergist. its nice and thick and works with my other saddles too i haven’t noticed excessive sweating under it either. I also like it because it is very pliable allowing me to push it up under the pommel nicely to give the withers some space. I think if i was a horse this is what i would want. Sometimes i ride in a Navajo saddle blanket out of sheer convenience..they are light weight,washable, but can bunch a bit and may not come down as far…i have used felt pads which seem to slide back and have “roll” and i have used a fleece pad with wither cutout..however i just dont think it works great…id stay away from the nonslip pads made of that plastic like stuff(and girths) for that matter because they seem to pull the hair out. Another recommendation is that your girth has padding behind the ring otherwise will pinch..I use the smart cinch for pleasure riding..it is felt..covers the rind.. and has a roller on the cinch making it real easy to tighten..good luck :0)
