Best Horse for SO CAL ENVIRONMENT…?
I sold my arab about a 1 1/2 ago due to a bad car accident but now I am ready to get back in the saddle and have been riding almost weekly. I am 25 and have been riding my whole life, I did the whole show circuit, hunter jumper blah blah, but now I am looking to have a good time, take advantage of the trails, do light arena work. I am looking for a perfect trail horse but I am not a huge fan of quarter horses…I think they are dull. Sorry if I offended anyone but the 50 or more that I have ridden don’tt have personalities. I love thefeistyy tempermant of an Arab but I was possibly looking into a Tennesse Walker….If anyone can give me some options on my search for the perfect horse that would be great!!
I live in So Cal and live in a very dry, hilly canyon area, so it would need to be able to do some endurance. I am 5′11” and I am looking for a bigger horse, my 14 2 arab didnt cut it for me
Thoroughbreds are the best.
Some recent checking though has me thinking you might like a Shagya if you can find one – and if you can, can anyone afford one these days?.
